Title: The Application of Geomatics to Disaster Management
Abstract:
This presentation will outline the technologies which are available for disaster management, which include imagery, lidar, SAR Interferometry, GNSS and GIS, and will show how these can be applied at all stages of the disaster management cycle. The presentation will also summarise the organisations which are concerned with disaster management, including the Group on Earth Observation (GEO), United Nations and other NGOs, and will discuss the their role disaster management.
